Pocket Guitar Chords · Last updated: October 13, 2026
This policy explains what information Pocket Guitar Chords (“the app”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Summary
The app does not require an account and never asks for your name, email address, or precise location. Your songs, set lists, favorites and settings stay on your device. To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, the app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
Information Stored on Your Device
Your songs, chord charts, set lists, favorite chords and settings are stored only on your device. They are never sent to the developer or to anyone else. If you add a widget, the app shares a short summary (such as your next set list’s name, date and song titles, or the chord of the day) with the widget on your device; this also stays on your device. Deleting the app deletes this information.
Information Sent to Google Firebase
The app uses two Google Firebase services:
- Google Analytics for Firebase collects anonymous usage information, such as which screens are opened, which chords are viewed or played, when a song or set list is created (counts only, never titles or contents), how many songs and set lists you have in broad ranges, your answer to the optional “What brings you here?” question, and settings such as left-handed mode and appearance. It also collects standard device information (device model, operating system version, app version), a random identifier for this installation of the app, and an approximate location (country and region) derived from your IP address.
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports when the app stops unexpectedly, including the technical state of the app at the time of the crash, device model, operating system version and a random identifier for this installation.
The app never sends song titles, chord charts, set list names, notes or anything else you type. The app does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not show ads, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
This information is used only to understand how the app is used, to decide what to improve, and to find and fix crashes. It is processed by Google on the developer’s behalf under Google’s terms and privacy policy:
Google keeps detailed usage events for 2 months and information linked to an installation’s random identifier for up to 14 months. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. After that, only aggregated totals remain.
Apple
Apple may collect information such as download statistics and, if you have chosen to share it, crash and usage data, under Apple’s own privacy policy. The developer does not control this collection.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The analytics and crash information described above is anonymous and is not used to identify or contact anyone.
Your Choices and Rights
You can stop sending usage statistics and crash reports at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy → Share usage & crash data. Because the information collected is anonymous and is not linked to your identity, the developer cannot look up, correct or export information about a particular person. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device and stops any further information from being sent. If you have questions or requests about your data, contact the developer at the address below.
